New MD for CPM (UK)

04 JANUARY 2010 | BY MARTIN RYAN, MANAGING DIRECTOR

The role of Managing Director CPM (UK) has been officially handed over from Mike Hughes to Martin Ryan, with effect from 1 January 2010.

Mike Hughes, who ran CPM in the UK since 2002, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of CPM Europe. Stepping into his shoes, Martin Ryan returns to the UK after a successful three year period at the helm of CPM Ireland.

Martin Ryan says:
"Having been with CPM for 10 years now, I'm looking forward to returning to the UK and driving the business onwards and upwards. One of my key goals is to further enhance CPM's integrated offering. Our core field marketing business has been augmented by a growing contact centre and a thriving experiential business (an award winner in its own right) and we plan to continue developing centres of excellence for every part of the customer journey."

Adds Mike Hughes:
I am delighted and honoured to have been asked to lead CPM in Europe and am excited about capitalising on the opportunities we have to consolidate our market leading position in the region. As far as the UK is concerned I am absolutely certain that Martin is the right man to take over from me and I am sure he will be successful in steering the business through the still challenging landscape of 2010 and then continuing to build it with his team thereafter. Collectively the Group will be in the strongest position ever to provide our clients with insight, influence and ultimately sales."

CPM was founded in the UK 1938 as a provider of sales, merchandising and auditing teams on behalf of a client list that now spans FMCG, Leisure and Entertainment, Government, Financial Services, Technology and Automotive sectors. The company designs customer contact strategies using face-to-face, web and telephone contact - today maintaining five European contact centres.
