Conference wins praise

15 FEBRUARY 2009 | BY NICK CONWAY, CLIENT SERVICE DIRECTOR

Attendees at CPM's annual Management Conference saw the company's brand promise of Insight Influence and Sales interpreted through a range of keynote addresses and motivational activities.

The conference, held at the Centre Parcs Sherwood Forest holiday village on 3-4 February, was attended by all of our management staff and was designed to give an experiential dimension to the company's brand promise.

Day One featured a keynote address by Danny Russell, Market Strategy Director, BSkyB, who shared his perspective on the 'Insight' element of CPM's brand promise. This was followed by professional trainer Andy Bounds, who showed how insights gleaned through customer and consumer engagement can be harnessed to deliver both Influence and Sales.

On the second day of the conference, delegates were hugely inspired by an opening address from former Olympic Gold medal rower, Greg Searle, who is making a return bid for glory at the London 2012 Olympics and being sponsored in this endeavour by CPM.

A range of teambuilding activities gave our managers the opportunity to enjoy Centre Parc's superb facilities - via an assault course, pilates exercises and a team competition to build a flying machine.

The conference concluded with a stirring keynote address from Martin Ryan, CPM (UK) Managing Director.

Summing up his experience of the conference, Client Service Director Nick Conway said:

"It was a huge success with truly inspirational speakers. Greg Searle's revelations on how he has set out to become a rowing legend in the 2012 Olympics gave us a real buzz and provided a great scene-setter for the fantastic team building activities in Sherwood Forest. And Martin Ryan's concluding keynote speech set absolutely the right tone in inspiring all CPM Managers to 'Be on the Bus'."
